UPSC prelims 70 days strategy part-1

During the first 14 days of your UPSC prelims preparation, it’s essential to build your foundation of basic concepts. Here’s how you can do it:

1. Start with NCERTs: NCERT books are the backbone of UPSC preparation. Begin with NCERTs of class 6-12 to build basic concepts of different subjects. Make sure to read the books thoroughly, and take notes of important concepts.

2. Read Standard Textbooks: After NCERTs, read standard textbooks of different subjects such as Polity, History, Geography, Economy, and Environment. It will help you gain a deeper understanding of the subject.

3. Make Notes: While reading, make short notes of important concepts, events, dates, and names. These notes will come in handy during revision and help you remember the information better.

4. Current Affairs: Read current affairs of the past 6 months. Make short notes on important topics, events, and issues. You can read newspapers or current affairs magazines to stay updated.

5. Practice MCQs: Start practicing MCQs on the topics you have studied. It will help you understand the type of questions asked in the exam and identify your weak areas.

6. Stay Consistent: Make sure to be consistent in your study routine. Try to study for at least 6-8 hours every day and avoid procrastination.
